A few years ago the kids and I were studying botany and ecology as part of our school curriculum, and I was looking for a way to get us out into nature on a regular basis to see firsthand what we were learning about in our books. That’s when I stumbled upon nature journaling!
Whether you consider yourself an artist or not it’s a fantastic way to connect with nature and become a more engaged observer of the world around you. It quickly became a favorite activity, and I was amazed at the amount of information we were able to document even in a short amount of time, and the curiosity that it sparked!
I’ve been keeping the practice up outside of school as well, and wanted to share some of the resources I’ve found helpful in case you’d like to try it (you totally should!)
